Downtown Style Guide

Did you know that Downtown Provo has official colors? That's right! If you notice the colors of the banners, the kiosks, and the light poles, you'll start picking up on the theme. We'd like to encourage more of a uniform look throughout downtown.

Uniformity is so important that the City Council even wrote into the Code that they "have determined that the various aspects of architectural design have a significant impact on the character and value of Provo neighborhoods and business districts and that preserving and enhancing this character requires the existence of a certain harmony and compatibility in these aspects, from one building to the next and throughout the particular neighborhood or district." This is because it "significantly furthers the economic and cultural well-being of the community."

Main Colors

The Provo Downtown main colors are shown as RGB web or screen colors, CMKY process, and Pantone Swatches. It is important to specify these colors on all color applications, so that uniformity and balance is visually maintained.

Support Colors

The Provo Downtown support colors are shown as RGB web or screen colors, CMKY process, and Pantone Swatches. These colors are used to create emphasis and contrast for the main colors themselves.
